Biography

Dr. Jiyeon Lee is a versatile solo and collaborative pianist whose work spans vocal, instrumental and chamber music, as well as collaborations with classical ballet dancers. She currently serves as Collaborative Pianist and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Performing and Fine Arts at South Carolina State University, where she supports student recitals, rehearsals, choir concerts and major university events. She also teaches ear-training and sight-reading.

She works as a dance pianist at the University of South Carolina, accompanying technique classes and collaborating with guest artists during rehearsals. She has also served as a collaborative pianist at the SC Summer Dance Conservatory and the Interlochen Arts Summer Camp.

Jiyeon Lee received her early musical education at Incheon Arts High School and Kyoungwon University in South Korea. She later earned both her Master's and Doctoral degrees from the University of South Carolina, studying under Dr. Joseph Rackers and Dr. Charles Fugo on a full scholarship.
