The Un Gramme Gallery in Ermoupolis hosts the exhibition “I’m not beautiful, I’m worse than beautiful” by Maro Avrabou and Dimitri Xenakis.
Borrowing its title from a phrase by actress Marie Dorval (1798–1849), the exhibition explores beauty beyond conventions — as tension, resistance, and transformation.
At the intersection of public and land art, the artist duo presents a site-specific installation created from reclaimed materials, light, and fragile forms — a reflection on the rawness and poetry of the present.
Their art transforms wounded matter into political presence, turning what is left behind into a space of renewal and meaning. Through photography, they extend their work into new visual dimensions, blurring the line between real and represented.
